Helpful Resources

Let's face it. Not knowing the correct key words in your search, along with all of the top paying sites showing up at the top of the list, you'll waist valuable time needed in a matter that can possibly violate your fundamental rights as a parent in the matter of grandparent visitation rights. We're working on guiding you with valuable resources so you can spend more time researching instead if web surfing.

Since grandparent visitation cases are not as common in family  court and are often very complicated, be sure to discuss your attorney's experience in dealing with these cases and what their track record is.

Most important, check your state bar website to ensure the attorney does not have any prior disciplines

Expert Witness

You may want to consider hiring an expert witness to fight your  grandparent visitation case. Their expertise is to analyze your unique  situation and offer a professional opinion based on their expertise in  child development and family dynamics.

In  cases that may involve mental health concerns or other complicated  family situations, an expert can clearly explain the potential  consequences for the child to the court.

Finally, expert testimony can add additional weight to your argument. You  can do a search and these experts are normally referred to as forensic  psychologists. Or you can search "expert witness for family court in  [state]."

Self-care

Going through any litigation can be difficult emotionally and  financially. It is important that you maintain self-care during this  time. Leverage your personal support system or register for therapy to  ensure you have a safe space to discuss your feelings.
